The new “10th Mountain Division & Fort Drum Collection” (museum) is located at Ft. Drum in the Thousand Islands-Seaway Region near Watertown. The new museum features a wide array of memorabilia collections from this famed Army unit, which began in 1942. The collection uses mannequins dressed in military apparel and photographic murals to depict battle scenes.
Different and more army equipment and weapons from 1812 up to the present, including an 1861 Springfield rifle made in nearby Watertown, are also on display.
