Arizona Trail

The Arizona Trail is linked directly the deserts, canyons, mountains, communities and a lot of hospitable people.  At this time 90% of the whole Arizon trail is complete.  It is planned to be a continuous 800 mile trail but not for motor riders.

A long weekend in this Trail will surely bring you up to speed once you get back to work from vacation.  The hiking experience will leave you tired but the feeling is really rewarding.  It could be a tough experience but completing the Arizona Trail is sure to give you a very high self esteem.

To get to the place you take the Interstate 10 through Tucson.  After that you just have to go south on Highway 83 to take you to Florida.  You take the Highway 82 from Sonoita which is southwest to Patagonia.  Then, just past the Patagonia Highschool you will see on the First Avenue after turning right – Forest Road 72.  And Hola! you are just six miles to the trailhead parking area.

You do not need any permit to go hiking in Arizona Trail.  The whole year round is a good time to go hiking and biking even though the winter temperatures can be that cold.
