The Desert Botanical Museum has a wonderful collection of desert plants from arid regions around the world. It is a great place to learn about the flora of the southern Arizona desert. The museum is located near the popular Phoenix zoo, which contains a fine exhibit of animals living in the surrounding desert. Heard Museum features Native American culture and art including an extensive collection of artifacts that depict the lifestyle of local indigenous people.
Garden Hours - The Garden is open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
Summer Eco Camps - Eco Camp is sure to launch your child on an educational eco-adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime!
Right now they have a “Jazz in the Garden” event. It’s a Spring Concert Series 2008 every Fridays of May and June from 7:30 to 9:30PM at the Ullman Terrace.
Guest must be at least 21 years and should show an ID if they want to see the event. Tickets for the members is at $14 while it’s $20 for non-members. For more information, you may call 480-481-8188.
